Today is my parent's 39th wedding anniversary and I would like to share the card I made for them. I used my new i-rock tool for the first time and, I have to say, it is awesome! Of course, being me, I couldn't just attach a few gems to test it out. I jumped right in with both feet and attached almost 100 rhinestones, using one of the stencils that came in my kit and some pink, clear and black gems. Isn't the flourish pretty? The background paper on the card is from DCWV's Old World Stack. The sentiment is cut from a file by I Scrap Designs.
I also want to announce this week's blog candy. As I mentioned last week, next month is my 1-year blogging anniversary. To celebrate, I will be giving away a bunch of blog candy (I will post details next month). But in order to get in the giving spirit, I thought I would start out by having some small weekly blog candy leading up to the big giveaway. Here is what you could win this week. There is a Simply School Scrap Pad from Provo Craft, green gel candy stickers from KI Memories and some cute embellishments from Creative Charms.
1. You must be a follower.
2. You must leave a comment on this post answering this question: Other than your cutter (KNK, Cricut, whatever), what is your favorite crafting tool?
3. For extra chances to win, comment on my other posts for the week of 8/25 - 8/31. You will get an extra entry for each post on which you comment.
I will draw a winner next week (probably on Thursday, September 1st) and mail out your goodies (due to the cost of postage, this is only open to US residents, but I sincerely appreciate comments from my international readers as well). Be sure to check back to see if you win and also to see what next week's blog candy will be.
Thanks for stopping by!
