Easter is Coming

Easter will be here before we know it and I have a couple of projects to share with you to get you in the mood. Shelly (of Shelly's Art) is hosting this quarter's membership club over at Paperthreads and she has already shared 7 fabulous files. One of them is a super cute box shaped like a carrot. Here is my take on it with some embossing added (using the Forest Branches Cuttlebug embossing folder). You could add some candy inside or a small gift. Mine just has some ribbon tucked inside until I can figure out what to use the box for.

Next up is an Easter card I made using Shelly's Build a Bunny file. You get to pick the kind of ears you want, pick what you want the bunny to hold, etc. I gave my bunny one floppy ear and he is dressed up in his tie holding a carrot. Isn't he adorable? I used some Easter egg patterned paper, a few different embossing folders, some cute jelly bean ribbon and a little embroidery floss for the whiskers.

I loved the little bunny so much that I decided to make another one for the inside of the card. This time I just used the head and the paws so he could peek out over the message. The whiskers and the paws both use embroidery floss. I added a little pen detailing to the background paper and cut the sentiment from vinyl. The Happy Easter eggs on the inside and the grass on the front of the card are from Shelly's Build an Easter Egg Two file.

Well, I hope that got you in the mood for Easter. I need to start working on an Easter basket for my son.

Thanks for stopping by!
